I don't mind too play the league the way you want it, but didnt you saw it last league? it was one big mess. So i thought i would make a minileague, fast and playable.
So if everyone haves the same thoughts like UD, we could make some changes.

Asking people to give up their whole weekend to play a whole bunch of matches isn't just retarded, it's not even feasible.

Ye, you're totally right, but the idea was just too make a small league that is playable. Leagues we played normally we needed too wait months too know what team the winner is.
So if you have some idea's and changes, tell me. :)
i'm only a person thats trying too organise a league :|

Oh come on Homer, it's really easy to fit in with FDT.

Oh it would be pretty easy to fit in there alright, horse tranquilizers.

I heard that Syphos and Nighshade made a new team, iDC. They will probably be in as well, at least i think so

Now we have the second part of making this league playable. What weekend('s) are we playing this league?
In some reply's i read that we could use schnappy's site, don't know if this is a misconception. But the idea was a "minileague", the matches will be played in one or two days. Played on the servers Simball, SOB and TA on the same time. So we have a winner at the end of the weekend. The teams are playing 2 matches versus each opponent. And if it ends up with a draw, play a third match.
The leaguetable is posted in the other topic.

WHOA there fella  . . . . I said I would ask TD guys what they think - and I haven't any responses yet - so DO NOT confirm TD just yet. . . . I said I will get back to you and I haven't yet. . . .

Um yeah, I saw it, I was the one who made the rules and ran the whole thing. Call me biased but as far as I'm concerned it was the best run league we've ever had. How exactly was it a big mess? The only problems that came up during the whole season were issues with immaturity from team members.

You can have whatever kind of league you want. But if you think having a mini-league that only occurs over 1 weekend will cut out any problems that may occur, you're sorely mistaken. If the majority wanted a small league/tournament like you've proposed, I'd say to go for it. But even then I wouldn't play, I really don't feel it's worth the time or effort for me personally to play in such a small event.

Some people arent looking on the forums, so too plan a match wasn't simple at all. people weren't showing there faces, but thats almost the same like you've said. I said the word "mess" because it was not a great succes, afterwards.
This league was just a idea and like i said, "i'm open for suggestions". no one informed me about things that woudn't work or could be a problem. At least till now...

During the last league and most of the other leagues really only the captain of team had to come to the forums, then they would communicate with their team members to find a time for their match that worked for all of them. Planning a match might not have been simple, but really that had to do with the fact that we have players from all over the world in different time zones so trying to schedule a time that works for everyone involved becomes sorta complicated. Even with that, all the matches during Season 3 were completed and there's been no other league we've had that can claim that.

The league was a success, not sure what you are referring to that happened after. Nothing really happened after the league was concluded, and there's really nothing in the first place that can happen after a league is finished that can make it less of a success.

A mini-league or tournament like you are proposing could work if done right. As for problems, when there's a lot of people involved especially people like we have in our community there are bound to be problems. It's really up to you what kind of league to try, but I just think the time & effort is better spent on a longer league like we've had in the past.

We didn't finished last league. The league suddenly stopped, though? IME
"This could be a endless discussion."

I see people rather like too play in a normall cb-league. I take this conclusion on the reaction off other people, not only UD's.

Nightshade, at least say something that has some qualified value.

Well if you're talking about the draft league, nevermind. I was referring to Season 3, somehow I don't really think of a league that never actually gets completed as an actual league. My bad. I do agree with you though, a league shouldn't be run off of forums. Anyway I still think you should do a longer league like we had during Season 3.

We could make Season 4. Not so many people has UT3 yet, we can start working on CB3 league in 2009. People would get this more seriously than they did with this league.
